Random times...

So guys, this week has been well, to say the least pretty incredible. As you may know, my phone/camera/ jacket (of a friend) were all found after being lost for two weeks. Granted, they were all where I assumed (knew) where they were, but the person who's house it was just didn't know. Anyways, this was following the amazing weekend I had in Ottawa with Katy. I left on Friday night and got back on Monday night. It was nice up there, no one at her work could tell us apart (hil-arrrr-ious), I dunno what to say we did, but it was cool and lots of fun. Hm, Tuesday I had a bio midterm on the internet. 25 multiple choice questions and two people sitting with me telling me answers. Final result: 23 out of 25. Not bad at all. Wednesday was by far the busiest day of my life. Like non-stop from 8:30 in the morning to 9:30 at night. This included class, some shopping, work, sailing and super psych. Work was friggin fantastic, as was sailing, even though I was dreading sailing with this one guy cause last time he just pissed me off so bad, but it was great and I might sail with him more. We even sailed without a rudder (and gybed and docked) for like 10 minutes, lots of fun. Thurrrrsssday. Well yesterday. Received a request asking if I wanted to go to Virginia for the weekend for a regatta. Heck yes! This also meant emailing profs to get out of two midterms that I was studying like crazy for and other things. Didn`t get out of one, but did get out of psych. Also I got to skipper, cause there were two boats and we were just sailing around.  And the sailing movie. More like a documentary, but still awesome. Called morning light, and I suggest you watch it, cause its wicked good. Then Thursday night, very little sleep, this morning midterm and packing and now on my way to Virginia. Old Dominion University. Yep, Em, that is H. Kess` university. Cool stuff. 12 hours of driving well into  the morning (2:30 about) and to be at the regatta for 9. I let you all know how it goes. Laturrr.

Wednesdays = superlame, like Chelsea lame

Darlings!

Have not written in awhile but it's not because I forgot, it's just because there hasn't been much to write! I have been going to school and working on school and that's about it, but it's okay because there's only 9 and a half weeks of school left which makes me happy. It's safe to say that I'm in a good mood.

Except for the fact that I keep losing things. I've lost my phone in various places at least ten times since school started... and then last week I lost my pencil case with my clicker and calculator and favourite pink highlighter in it. I always find them but still. It's unnecessary distress.

As per Hucal's suggestion, I will not take this time to complain about my workload, because if I begin I will most likely never stop. Instead I'm going to tell you that I'm very excited because I finally get an elective next semester! WHAT?!

(A sidenote to Emily; Cesc has still not cut his hair and is beginning to look slightly homeless. Tragic, that. Also I am starting to think that he maybe made up the story about his nose being broken because I've seen him in two games since it happened and NO TAPE. HMMM.)

Well, this has been way too long. I would highly recommend commenting on it so I don't feel abandoned or forgotten.

OH OH OH. AND GUESS WHAT. I just found out I have free long-distance calling so you should all expect sneak-attack calls all the time now. Except for Amy and Emily. Because I don't have your home numbers. GET ON THAT.

If I disappear for awhile don't worry. I probably just got crushed by the amount of crap I have to do. yay! Also I just wasted like most of my chem class writing this and I still have to sit through bio. ugh.
Also where did you all go?! If nothing interesting has happened lately I'm sure there is still plenty to complain about =p
I would tell you about my weekend but that would end up being more complaining about all of the bruises/injuries I always manage to get when I drink. (And I wasn't even going to get drunk)
Anyways I will talk to you all laters <3

1/5 Babees!

So a little update on my midterms / study break. I aced Children's Literature on Friday. Awesome. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that accomplishment or not. Actually yes I should, who are we kidding. I never thought I would critically analyze Little Red Riding Hood for sexual undertones. You would be very weirded out with the orginal versions, let me tell you. They are interesting, to say the least. Ok so, I hate midterms because I never get enough sleep. I'm sure you all feel the same way, but complaining makes me feel better, momentarily, before I realize 'fuck there's nothing I can do about it, suck it up, life's a bitch and then you die.' I have my English midterm tomorrow, and I was really dumb and signed up for tomorrow as my discussion day. So yes, I had to study for English, AND read ahead and make a fricken discussion for tutorial. Awesome. But I'm done that, and let me tell you...my questions for discussion kick ass. Yeah so I think I'm going to write my paper tonight, which is due on Tuesday. And then figure out how to study for those two midterms in one day, ie, tomorrow. Fuck my life. I really hope I never have three midterms and two assignments due in two days, ever again. It's balls. And I also really hope you guys are not going through similar times of absolute hell. Though judging by the fact that I haven't spoken to any of you in like a week (except Heather, she came to my swim meet, which kicked ass BTW), I have to assume you are experiencing death by school, or at least the heavy lidded eyes and extreme exhaustion that come with this much stress! I hate being up this late (yes I know it's not even that late but I would have been in bed an hour ago!). Fuck. Ok I'm done complaining. Best study break ever number one: a walk in this fucking gorgeous weather / beautiful trees everywhere. It's actually amazing, the fresh air does wonders, and I have some fabulous pictures. Best study break ever number two: all you can eat sushi. Granted that was also dinner, but my god it was good. And all in all, I'm doing quite well! I haven't had a nervous breakdown, nor will I. Despite my complaining, I am relatively well prepared! One item at a time, and it all feels better! Good luck on your midterms girlies, and sorry for my waves of emotion, hahaha!

Amsterdam?!

What a ridiculous week! Stupid Duncan going missing.

Monday night: Jaci and Duncan get in a fight over something stupid .

Tuesday:  we don't see Duncan all day. We assumed he was being a sulky baby and taped some Midol to his door telling him to stop being such a little bitch. Tuesday night we are actually kind of concerned and tell the on call RA's because we couldn't find his RA Amanda.

Wednesday: He doesn't show up to classes again and we really start to worry. The lights in his room are on but no one has seen him, not even to leave for food. We decide on Wednesday that we really need to tell his RA because we haven't seen him and have no idea where he could be and his phone if off, he hasn't been on facebook and he hasn't been on MSN.                                                                     So we tell Amanda and she decides to talk to her manager and they get a key to his room and check if he is in there. In the mean time Jaci calls Duncan's mom to see if he went home maybe. She hasn't seen him and calls the residence desk to find out what is going on.

From there the police get involved. They talk to Jaci and also to the guy who saw Duncan last, on Tuesday night leaving his room with some bags.

Thursday:  Jaci gets a message from some people at home saying he is in Amsterdam?! One of her friends moms works at a bank and saw his bank account and that he bought a plane ticket to Amsterdam on Tuesday night. Jaci has to go to class but decides to bring her laptop to tell us what else is going on.  A cop comes into Jaci's class and says that if anyone knows about where Duncan could be that they need to know. So Jaci has to leave in front of her entire class.
The police ask who she is and say that they have a file on her. They bring her down to the police station for some questioning and actually have a file on her with private facebook messages and everything!  In the mean time Alison is so angry she wants to break something so we go for a long walk in the Arboretum.

Thursday night: Amanda sees us in the hallway and tells us to let her know if we see Duncan... we don't really know what to think other than she must know something we don't . Oh and then Duncan returns at around 11pm.  He went to Amsterdam for all of like a day. What a douche.  He brought back gifts for everyone and realized that  what he did was stupid.
Today his parents are coming to have lunch with him. (good luck to him) and that is our ridiculous week. Did I mention that we have a chem midterm tomorrow that was very hard to study for when you are wondering where the hell your friend could be because he seemed to disappear. Oh and the police were going to use Interpol to find him. OH and he took a TAXI to Toronto the night he left.

What a tool.

not dead.... yet..

so I haven't been writing on the blog because I have alot of stuff to do.. like my math midterm tomorrow that I've been slacking/ procrastinating studying for for the past 3 hours. we got let out of environ early and I still didn't study.  I pretty much decided that if I wrote on the blog it would be me complaining about how much I have to do which would really be just another form of me procrastinating. I also decided that I'm gunna bring a bunch of stuff home and actually try to get shit done... but I still have to get stuff done by Friday.. like possibly write an essay for enviro.. and find a  bio article for an assignment we have to do (article due Friday)

So other than lots of homework and assignments and quizzes etc things have been going pretty well.  I seriously love my group of friends.

And I probly party way too much.. (I'm sure you can tell by all the random pics of me on facebook.) like every weekend for sure.. last weekend killed my stomach.. rum+coke+vanilla=delicious+painful.   I think i'm going to be taking it easy for the next few weekends at least... and I'm sure I will have a few weekends off before my birthday which btw me and Alison have already been making plans for sorta.. haha like how its gunna be a joint birthday of me Colin and Lauren (and tess too if she wants to be part of our huge birthday party) haha basically we want it to be huge. and with everyone from valley one and maybe valley 2 valley 3 is out except for our floor and a select few that we actually talk to. haha our tower sucks. Its ok though we are adopted Valley 1s

So I should stop wasting time and actually study... (and I will be awake for awhile for sures because I'm drinking a large iced cafe mocha... with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.. mmm I love our nightly snack breaks hehe)  oh and here is my schedule for next semester which I figured out on Tuesday after much stress in the morning. W09

My Tattoo

Bleh....eh.........eheh..

Yo kids, whats going on? I have officially concluded that Heaz and Emmery are MIA, aka, they dont write on the blog, so they must be dead. Thats the only logical explanation I can come up with.

R.I.P. Strike 2008

Back to the grind on Monday which means Em can stop hating me now, but in the meantime... Things I've accomplished over the past two and a half weeks:
  1. Re-joined the work force!!!
  2. Watched ridiculous amounts of Jon and Kate plus 8.
  3. Forgot everything I'd learned before the strike and made no effort to re-learn any of it.
  4. Ran over three curbs whilst driving yesterday. Three separate curbs.

Ridics

So, now I will talk about my ridiculous day, except that I cant remember all that happened, which is balls. Well, first its pretty normal/ whatevs, I forget my iclicker in Bio as usual, and am pissed about it. But I move on. Later I was thinking I had to go to work, but really I didnt, so I pretty much just went there to check the times I actually was workng...cool cool. So I decided to go to sailing, which did't seem like it would be too bad, until I got there and notice how much wind there was and started thinking that it was ridiculous. While we were setting up the boats, I actually thought I was possibly going to die, cause of the wind and considering it was almost impossible to set up the boat, while being attacked by the jib. But good. Uh, got the boat down down to the water, and I asked some guy that I kinda know to put up our main(sail) and he was like 'yeah cause I'm your friend', but then he was like 'but now you owe me a date', and I was kinda like sure, ' and he was like 'how does the keg sound?' and I'm like 'ok, but you're paying'. Buuut anywaaaayyysss. I don't know how serious he was, or whats going to happen, but it probably wont end by me dating anyone. So then to sailing. Me and my skipper were prolly the lightest ones out there, yeah not so good in high wind, but we managed. And then like, 10-15 minutes before we were going to go in, something happened and our boat capsized. Not only that, it turtled. And then kept Cali rolling, aka, .we would bring it up and it would be like, 'now I'm gunna keep rolling right on top of you guys'. So after several failed attempts to bring it up, Vaughn, the coach brought over a sailor from another boat in the motor boat, and with that guy, it took us another couple of tries to get it up. Thank god for wetsuits, altough I didn't think it was that cold, maybe it was cause of the wind. I don't know. But then I had to rush and get back (like I walked back to res in m wetsuit) and rush to get ready because my floor had a high table, meaning we dress up (like semi formal) and go eat a dinner, that we have chosen a menu for and then a prof like talks to us and thats about it. And it was intense, but I finally got ready and cool stuff. Including that I am planning a floor party and inviting the floor above us and its gunna be a Pyjamas and Superheroes Party. Awesome. And, yesterday, also........Our floor got a microwave!!!!!!! Woot! We can now cook things!!!
